It's so hard to wake up

Yesterday Malia had a hard time getting up to go to school. I was able to dress her without her waking up at all, then she continued to sleep on the floor until it was actually time to leave the house.

Heat wave, day 2

Jason turned the temp down in the hot tub so we can use it as a swimming pool.

Trying to escape the heat

Yesterday was hot: We found stuff to do in the house for awhile, that way we could sit in front of the fans. But eventually we had to go outside, at least Malia had the mister from the sprinkler system to keep her and "dog-dog" cool. It's supposed to be hotter today and even hotter tomorrow before it starts to cool down.

Trying on the life jacket

It's supposed to be hot this weekend so we're going to the lake. We tried Malia's life jacket on last night, it still fits! These pics are from when we tried it on last summer:

Playing with the leaf blower

Jason mowed the lawn last night and then cleaned up with the leaf blower, Malia liked the wind in her hair.

Must move horse...

Malia was dragging her interactive horse all over the house last night. It was fun until it ran over her foot, then she showed me her new "boo-boo".

Good dinner

This is a sign that Malia likes what she had for dinner.

Wagon

Malia has a little wagon that she likes to haul things around in, sometimes her breakfast even gets to go for a ride.

Noses

Whenever we ask Malia where a body part is she goes around and shows us where it is on everyone, sometimes even on the dog. This is a video of "nose" day.

Guarding the neighborhood

Last night the dog saw something that she was interested in so Malia got down on the dogs level to see what was so interesting.

Cooling off

It was a very hot weekend so we had several fans out in the house, Malia realized that this one could be moved to blow on her face and hair.

Happy 4th of July!

A different park

On Thursday Grandma Vickie and I took Malia to a different park that had an area for the kids to play in the water. Malia wasn't sure about it at first but she quickly got the hang of it.
They also had a normal play area for the smaller kids to swing and slide, Malia had a lot of fun climbing up the stairs and going down the slide without worrying about the bigger kids running her over.
