New toy

Malia has a new walk behind/ride on toy, so far she has learned to sit on it, very shortly she will be running behind it and scooting all over the neighborhood.

Car ride

This one moved much faster.

Train ride

It is moving, really!

Lunch with Alan

My friend Alan is here from England; the last time he saw Malia was when she was about three months old. She has changed so much since then. We can't wait to see him the next time he's here!

Swimming lessons - day 2

She loves the water!
One of the lessons was to swim to the side and reach out if they ever fall in, she's getting the hang of it.

Swimming lessons

Today was Malia's first actual swimming lesson; she did really well and had a lot of fun watching the other babies in the class.

Standing up

She's getting much better at pulling herself up on things and walking along them, it won't be long before she's walking on her own.

More crawling

She's getting much better on using her hands and knees instead of just pulling herself along.

Cone head

We went to Lowes on Saturday (yes we live there) and Jason and Malia found a cone, they had a lot of fun playing with it.

Now driving the Lowes #48 car...

...It's Malia, she doesn't like riding backwards in carts so we tried this one during our Friday night trip to Lowes. She liked seeing where she was going much better.

Malia the kitty

Sorry to ruin the surprise but Malia is going to be a kitty for Halloween. I tried her costume on to make sure it fits and couldn't resist taking pictures. She was fine with it until I put her hood on.

9 month Dr visit

Yesterday was the 9 month check up. Malia is 19 pounds 4 ounces (55%) and 28 3/8 inces (78%). She's doing everything she should be doing at this age (pulling herself up, eating finger foods, etc) so she's right on track. Next visit is Dec. 2nd when she's a big 1 year old.

Here are some pics we took while waiting for the Dr. to come in.

"What are you looking at!?!?" Trying to figure out where the bubbles were going.

Labor Day weekend

Last weekend Jason and I had three days off for Labor Day so we got to spend more time with Malia. On Saturday we took her to the fair hoping that she would be big enough to go on the Merry Go Round with us, unfortunately there was a height limit so we walked around and looked at the animals but didn't get a picture opportunity. Next year she'll be able to do more and we'll get a chance to take a lot of pictures.

Saturday was also Malia's 9 month birthday.
Sunday Malia and I went to Costco to get a microwave and stood in line forever. What better things is there to do in the forever line but take pictures of the little one...
Then yesterday we went to Lowes so I took pictures of her there as well, she wasn't feeling good, poor girl! Luckly she's feeling much better now.
