Shake it baby

Well this video is from November, we have been doing so little lately because of the snow that I thought I would search my phone to see what I could find. This video shows off Malia's dancing skills.

Snow day-part 2!

Today was another day of winter "fun". We had over a foot of snow fall from 8 last night to 8 this morning, Jason and I both stayed home.

And it's still piling up outside; tomorrow might just be another snow day...

Snow day!!!

We had our first real snow of the winter today so I got to stay home from work with Malia, we had a good time. This is a quick recap of our day.
First we got up and looked out the window to see if it had snowed.
Then I took her outside to see the snow. This is only the second time she's ever gotten to play in it, the first time was last January when she was only a little less than two months old.
Then we did some laundry. After that she was worn out and took a three hour nap. Then Jason got home so they played for a little while.
Last but not least she played with Salleena. Now it's starting to snow again, it looks like we could possibly have a repeat tomorrow!

Dr Appt

I took Malia to the dr last night because she's been fighting a cold for two weeks. Turns out she has a sinus infection that has spread to her eyes and a double ear infection. She's on antibiotics and will be back to her normal self soon.

I knew it was too quiet...

Jason and I were letting Malia play in her bedroom last night for a few minutes, it got quiet so we knew that something was up, when we went to check on her we found that she had made her way to the bathroom and unraveled all the toilet paper.

It's Christmas picture time

We had our pictures taken over the weekend. Malia wasn't feeling well and it was a longer process than we expected it to be (over three hours), she was a trooper though and they turned out really cute.

Christmas lights

Last night Jason was getting ready to hang our new Christmas lights and Malia was right there to supervise.

Update

Malia has been fighting a pretty bad cold and has been sleeping a lot so we haven't gotten many pictures of her doing cute things lately. But we did go out with my friends Kelly and Jamie from Safeco last weekend, we hadn't seen Jamie for a couple months and Malia had never met Kelly. We had a lot of fun and can't wait to see them again.

Highlights from the last week

I haven't been able to post much so I'm going to do one post to fill everyone in on what we've been doing in the last week. I'll post more often next week.

Last weekend we had breakfast with Grandma Debi and our friends Peggy and Dave from Spokane before they headed back home. Here's Malia and Peggy playing during breakfast.
We turned Malia's carseat around, she thinks it's fun to ride facing forward.
She watched the dogs playing outside:
And we played in a cart at the grocery store. Notice the sign that says no kids, we never let go of her. =) Another highlight of the week was Malia's one year old well child exam at the dr. She is 21 pounds (50%) and 30.5 inches (90%). She is right on track and doing everything she should be doing at this age. Also Malia started daycare last Monday. We've received good report cards for her and she seems to be having a lot of fun interacting with the other kids.

Malia's first Thanksgiving

Malia was getting over the flu on her first Thanksgiving. She lounged around in her pajamas for quite awhile:
She watched the Thanksgiving parade with Dad:
She chewed on her shoe while we were getting ready to go to the grocery store:
And then Grandma Debi, Uncle Dustin, and Danni came over for dinner.
Malia is feeling much better now!
